The rebuilt Forsite app replaced the legacy app. Everything below is new compared with the legacy app.
Check-in & Presence
- New Automatic site detection with check-in prompts. The app detects when you arrive at a site using GPS geofencing, with Bluetooth beacons as a second layer, and prompts you to check in. Detection keeps working after the app is closed or the phone restarts.
- New High-risk areas ask for the right permit or induction. A beacon marked as high risk prompts you for the permit or induction that area requires, rather than an ordinary check-in.
- New Check in by scanning a QR code. Scan a site QR code as an alternative to automatic detection.
Login & Registration
- New Register and reset your password in the app. Register from the app, choose your account type, find your company or set yourself up as a service provider, and reset a forgotten password yourself.
Other
- New Support chat in the app. Ask Forsite support a question without leaving the app.
Maps
- New Map of nearby sites. If the app cannot tell which site you are at, it shows a map of nearby sites.
Site Information & Hazards
- New Site hazards, tasks, permits, documents and inductions on your phone. The hazard register, your tasks, permits and permit applications, company and site documents, and inductions are all in the app, and switching company reloads them.
