Overview
Manage your company's licences and understand your bill under Settings → Billing & Licenses. Forsite bills on actual usage: what you have provisioned is what you pay for.
Licences and seats
- Your Essentials licence covers your sites, with each active site attached to it.
- Seats reflect the people actually using Forsite in your company. Your bill is based on actual seats and sites, not estimates.
The soft limit
- You can optionally set a soft limit on seats as a budget guardrail.
- If usage goes over the limit you see a warning only. The soft limit never changes what you are charged, and if you do not set one, no warnings appear.
Add-ons
- Optional modules such as Permits to Work and Site Audits can be enabled as you need them. A permit template has a template fee plus a per-site charge for each site it is active on.
- Supplier Management is included free for new companies and is enabled automatically.
Invoices by billing entity
- Open the By Billing Entity tab.
- Each billing entity shows an itemised invoice of its assigned sites and their charges. Company-wide charges and unassigned sites appear under your primary entity.
- Click Download PDF to export an entity's invoice.
FAQs
What is a seat?
A seat is a person using Forsite in your company. Billing counts actual seats, so removing someone's access is reflected in your bill.
Does the soft limit cap my bill?
No. It is a warning threshold only. Billing always follows actual usage.
How are permits billed?
Each permit template has a template fee, plus a per-site charge for each site where it is active. Current prices are on the pricing page.
Can I get a separate invoice per business entity?
Yes. Use the By Billing Entity tab and download each entity's PDF invoice.
