Overview

When someone adds you to their company in Forsite, you get a welcome email. Register with the address it was sent to and your login is linked to that company, with the roles and sites you were given.

Steps

1. Open your invitation
   • Open the email from customersupport@getforsite.com inviting you to join the company on Forsite, and click its register button.
   • The register page shows the company's name, with your email address filled in and locked.
2. Create your login
   • Enter your name, phone number and a password of at least 8 characters. Complete the security check and click Create Account.
   • Enter the code we email you and click Verify & Create Account.
3. Sign in to the Portal
   • Click Go to Login, then Login to Account.
   • Choose Login with Password, or Email me a Code for a one-time code. Either works for any account with an email address. You land in the company that invited you.
4. Or register in the Forsite App
   • Tap Register an Account, then I was invited by email, and use the address your invitation went to.
   • Under How do you want to sign in?, pick Password or Email me a code. Tap Submit Registration, then enter the emailed code.
5. Change how you sign in
   • In the Portal, click your name and choose My details. Under Sign-in method, click Switch to emailed codes or Switch to a password, then Confirm switch.
   • In the App, tap the settings icon, then Sign-in method. Choose Password or Emailed code and tap Save Change.
   • Never set a password? Use Forgot your password? on the Portal sign-in screen, or Forgot Password? in the App, to create one.
6. Add an email to a mobile-only account
   • If you registered with a mobile number, My details shows an Email Address panel. Enter your address, click Add Email Address, then enter the emailed code and click Verify Code. In the App, tap Email address in Settings.
   • You can then sign in with either, and Forsite email notifications reach you.

Troubleshooting

• The invitation hasn't arrived, or the link has expired → Check your spam folder for mail from customersupport@getforsite.com, then ask the person who invited you to send it again. A company administrator can click Re-Invite next to your name on the Team members page, where you show as invited. The new email carries a fresh link and the old one stops working. An expired link still lets you register if you use the invited address.
• Email me a Code says it couldn't send a code → Register first, using your invitation. Accounts registered with a mobile number sign in with a password instead.
• After entering the code you see "Email, verification code and company name are required." → Forsite couldn't match your invitation to a single account. Contact Forsite support with the address you were invited on.
• Your invitation email has a temporary password in it → Some accounts, such as ones Forsite sets up in bulk, still get one. Choose Login with Password, sign in with your email address and the temporary password, and set a new password when asked. If it has expired, ask for a Re-Invite.

FAQs

Do I use the Portal or the App?
That depends on the role you were given. Contractors use the Forsite App, and an account that only has the Contractor role can't sign in to the Portal. Administrators and members use the Portal.

I already have a Forsite login. Do I register again?
No. Sign in as you normally do. The new company is added to your existing account. Click your name and choose Switch Profile to move between companies.

Can I register with a mobile number instead?
Not from an invitation, because it is tied to your email address. Without one, choose NZ mobile number under Register with when you sign up. Your code arrives by text, and you then sign in by typing your mobile number in Email or mobile number with your password.

My organisation uses single sign-on. How do I get in?
Colliers staff aren't sent a welcome email. Sign in on the Colliers sign-in page for Forsite with your usual Colliers login.
