How to apply for and submit a permit for high-risk work in the Forsite App.

Overview

Apply for a work permit in the Forsite Contractor App before starting high-risk work. Requirements may differ by site.

Steps

  1. Open the app and go to Documents.
  2. Tap Permits.
  3. Tap Apply for a Permit.
  4. Search for the site you need a permit for and select it.
  5. Choose the permit type you’re applying for (e.g., Hot Works, Working at Height).
  6. Fill out the permit form
    • Provide all required details and add any notes if needed.
    • Attach any required documents or photos if requested.
  7. Save progress (optional)
    • You can save and return later to finish.
  8. Submit
    • When complete, tap Submit. You’ll see a confirmation that your permit has been submitted for review.

Troubleshooting

  • I can’t find my site
    • Check your search spelling. If your company was just created, your site manager must assign your company to their site before you can apply.
  • I can’t submit
    • Make sure all required fields are completed and any required attachments are added.
  • I don’t see the permit type I need
    • Permit options are set by the site manager. Contact them if a type is missing.
  • Where is my saved application?
    • Return to Documents → Permits to continue your saved (in-progress) application.

Q: Do I need to complete my induction before applying?
A: Some sites require an induction first. If yours does, you’ll be prompted or your submission may be blocked until it’s complete.

Q: How long does approval take?
A: Approval times are set by the site manager and can vary by site.

Q: Can I edit my permit after I submit it?
A: In most cases, submitted permits can’t be edited. Contact your site manager if you need changes.

Q: What types of permits can I apply for?
