Overview
Build a permit to work template for high-risk activities such as hot works or working at height, then publish it and assign it to sites so workers can apply for permits in the Forsite App.
Steps
- Open Templates
- Go to Templates and open the Permits folder.
- Create the template
- Click [+ Create] and name the permit for the activity it controls, or start from a premade template.
- Build the permit
- Add the declarations, controls, questions, and any required document uploads an applicant must provide.
- Save as draft while you work
- Save as Draft keeps the permit hidden from workers until it is ready.
- Publish
- Click Publish to make the permit assignable. Note that permit templates carry a template fee plus a per-site charge once active; see Settings → Billing & Licenses.
- Assign to sites
- Assign the published permit to the sites where the activity occurs. Workers can then apply in the app, and your team actions requests in the Portal.
