Overview

Build a site induction in the form builder, then publish it and assign it to sites so workers complete it before they start work. A draft is only visible to you; workers only ever see the published version.

Steps

1. Open Templates
   • Go to Templates and open the Inductions folder.
2. Create the template
   • Click [+ Create] and name the induction, or start from a premade template and adapt it.
3. Build the content
   • Add sections and modules in the builder: text and images for site rules, documents, acknowledgements, and questions workers must answer.
   • Site information documents you have uploaded pull through to the induction automatically.
4. Save as draft while you work
   • Save as Draft keeps your work without exposing it to workers.
5. Publish
   • When the content is ready, click Publish. Publishing makes the template assignable and visible; a draft is not.
6. Assign to sites
   • Assign the published induction to the sites where it applies. Workers are prompted to complete it in the Forsite App.

Troubleshooting

• Workers cannot see the induction → Check it is published (not a draft) and assigned to the right site.
• I started from a premade template and only see Save as Draft → Save the draft first, then open it from the Inductions folder and publish it from there.
• I need to fix a typo after publishing → Open the template, make the change, and publish the update.

FAQs

What is the difference between a draft and a published template?
A draft is your working copy and is invisible to workers. Publishing makes the template live so it can be assigned and completed.

Can one induction cover several sites?
Yes. Assign the same published template to multiple sites. Use the Site Setup Template wizard if you want per-site inductions instead.

How do workers complete it?
In the Forsite App, when they are assigned to the site. See the guide on completing your site induction.
