Overview

The Company Risk Register holds hazards you maintain once for the whole company. You assign each one to the sites it applies to, and it then shows on those sites' registers tagged Company.

Steps

  1. Open the register
    • Go to Risk Management → Company Risk Register.
  2. Add a company hazard
    • Click + Company Hazard, then choose Detailed or Quick.
    • Detailed uses the same dialog as a site hazard, including controls from your Controls Library. Quick asks for a rating, description, measure, location and type.
    • Click Create hazard.
  3. Assign it to sites
    • Open the hazard's three-dot menu and choose Assign to sites.
    • Select the sites and click Save. To take it off a site, remove that site from the list and save again.
  4. Assign the whole register
    • Click Assign entire register, choose the sites and click Save.
    • This links the hazards in the register today. Assign any hazards you add later one at a time.
  5. Keep it up to date
    • Changes you make here show on every site that inherits the hazard.
    • Click Not assigned to find hazards that aren't on any site yet.
  6. Import an existing register
    • Click Bulk import and use Download import template to get the column headings.
    • Upload your CSV, check the column mapping and click Analyse hazards. Review the creates, updates and archives, then apply the ones you've ticked.

Troubleshooting

  • Company Risk Register isn't in the menu → It's part of the full Risk Management suite. Contact Forsite support to have it switched on for your company.
  • A site doesn't show my latest change → Someone edited that hazard on the site, which made a local copy. Local copies don't follow company changes. Linked sites on the hazard's row counts them as localised.
  • A new hazard isn't on my sites → Assign entire register only links the hazards that existed when you used it. Use Assign to sites for the new one.
  • I can't see + Company Hazard → Your role can view hazards but not edit them. Ask your Company Administrator for edit access.

FAQs

What happens when someone edits a company hazard on a site?
Saving it from the site's register creates a local copy for that site. The copy stops following the company version, and the other sites keep inheriting the original.

What happens if I archive a company hazard?
Set its status to Archived and save. It drops off the register of every site that inherits it.

Do contractors see company hazards?
Yes. Once a company hazard is assigned to a site, it's included with that site's hazards in the Forsite App.

Do imported hazards keep their category?
No. Category and hazard type aren't imported. Open each hazard afterwards to add them.
