Overview
The timeline on the Onsite page shows everyone on your sites today, one row per person, coloured by whether they are inducted and checked in. You can also look back at earlier days and remind someone to check in.
Steps
- Open Onsite
- Click Onsite in the top menu. The timeline opens on today.
- Each row is a person and their company. A bar runs from when the Forsite App detects them inside the site's geofence, or they check in, until they leave.
- Read the colours
- The legend above the timeline shows four states: Checked in and Inducted (green), Inducted, not checked in (orange), Not Inducted (red) and Never Inducted (grey).
- Grey means no induction on record and on site for under 30 minutes. After 30 minutes without an induction, the bar turns red.
- Filter the timeline
- Use Showing all sites and Showing all companies to narrow the list, plus Showing all portfolios if your company uses portfolios. You can pick more than one in each.
- The icon buttons beside the filters change the row layout, sort by Priority or Chronological, and hide or show event dots. Hover over one to see what it does. Your choices are saved.
- Open a person's details
- Click a bar to open the detail panel. Each visit shows Time in, Time out and Session length, with ticks for Inducted, Checked in, Hazards acknowledged and Not working.
- Timeline events lists what was recorded during the visit.
- Send a check-in reminder
- In the detail panel, click Send Push Notification.
- Add a Custom message if you want (up to 250 characters), then click Send Notification. The reminder goes to the Forsite App on the worker's phone.
- Look at an earlier day
- Use the arrows either side of the date, or click the day, month or year to choose a date and click Done. You cannot go past today.
- Today's timeline refreshes about once a minute.
FAQs
Who appears on the timeline?
People the Forsite App detects inside a site's geofence, or who check in, on sites you have access to. Very short visits with no check-in, such as someone driving past, are left off.
What is the difference between orange and green?
Both mean the person is inducted. Green means they also checked in. Orange means the App detected them on site but they have not checked in.
Can I see one site's attendance over a month?
Yes. Open the site from Sites and choose Monthly View. Use Export CSV to download it. The Today tab on the same page shows who is on that site now.
Who can send check-in reminders?
Company Administrators, and team members whose role can edit Sites.
