Overview

The Site Setup Template wizard configures a site's safety essentials in one pass. Answer a few questions about the site and it creates the matching induction template, a Hazard & Risk Audit, and sensible check-in settings, all of which you can edit afterwards.

Steps

  1. Launch the wizard
    • Open it from your Setup Progress checklist in the Advisor, or from the site's setup prompts.
  2. Answer the site questions
    • The wizard asks about the site and how it operates. Your answers shape which sections and questions appear in the generated templates.
  3. Review site information
    • Confirm the site details the wizard will use, including any site information you want included in the induction.
  4. Review check-in settings
    • Check-in is enabled by default and uses the site's geofence.
  5. Create
    • Click Create Template. The wizard generates the induction template and the Hazard & Risk Audit for the site. If anything is missing it tells you what to fix rather than failing silently.
  6. Review and publish
    • Open the generated templates, adjust wording or add site-specific content, then publish and assign them so workers see them.

Troubleshooting

  • Create Template appears to do nothing → A required field is incomplete. The wizard highlights what is missing; fix it and create again.
  • The generated induction is missing a topic → The questions you answered decide which sections are generated. Open the template in the builder and add the section manually.
  • Workers cannot see the induction yet → Generated templates still need to be published and assigned to the site.

FAQs

Can I edit what the wizard creates?
Yes. Everything it generates is a normal template you can open and edit in the builder.

Can I run the wizard for more than one site?
Yes. Run it per site so each site's induction and audit reflect that site's answers.

Do I have to use the wizard?
No. You can build induction, permit, and audit templates manually and configure check-in under the site's settings.
